Summary: Papal bull (bulla pro dedicacione cimiterii de Carleton) of Pope Boniface IX granting burial in the churchyard of Carlton (Carleton) within the parish of Snaith (Snayth), following a petition of Brian de Stapilton [Stapleton] and the inhabitants of the vill of Carlton, because flooding of the River Aire between the vill and the church of Snaith often made it impossible to take the bodies of the dead for church burial in Snaith.
