| Summary: | Notification to the dean and chapter of York of the admission of Richard de Cornubia [Cornwall], king's clerk, to the prebend of North Newbald in York Minster, on the presentation of King Edward II, by royal letters (recited), dated at Le Grove (or La Grove), 7 January 1310, under the privy seal, and at Westminster, 17 November 1310. |
| Note: |
A marginal note alongside the second of the recited royal letters states that 'Richard had these letters patent sealed with the great seal'; with a note at the foot of this side of the folio begins 'memorandum that on 18 Kal August and perhaps the beginning of the year, 'in the year [...]'. 18 Kal August does not appear in the Roman calendar, but perhaps stands for Ides August, 15 July. Perhaps see Reg 7, f. 44v, entry 1, which is also dated 18 Kal August, possibly for 15 July.
