Summary: Acquittance for Master William de Pikering [Pickering] and Master Robert de Pikering [Pickering], executors of the testament (will) of Henry de Newerk [Newark], formerly archbishop of York, predecessor of the archbishop, deceased, for their accounts, heard by William de Estden [Eastdean], canon of Beverley; William de Jafford [Yafforth], rector of Croft, and Nicholas de Molendinis [Mills], and an inventory of the goods of the deceased having been made. The accounts showed that receipts totalled £5592 16s 9 1/2d; payments, £6110 2s 0 1/4d, with a shortfall of £517 5s 2 3/4d.
