Summary: Writ of Edward III ordering the archbishop to enquire into the legitimacy of the birth of William, son of John de Oscynton [Ossington], as Robert de Sutton of Walesby and Margery his wife have brought an assize of mort d'ancestor against him at Nottingham before Richard de Wylughby [Willoughby] and other royal justices, claiming that he ought not inherit property in Kirton (Kirketon iuxta Walesbi) from his father as he is illegitimate (insert).
