Summary: Arbitration and ordination by the archbishop (delivered through Master Gilbert de Welton, canon of York, the archbishop's chancellor) to settle the dispute between the abbot and convent of Coverham and Henry de Askeryg [Askrigg], chaplain, concerning a moiety of the church of Kettlewell (Ketilwell). Henry is to renounce his claim to the moiety, which is to be appropriated to Coverham, and in recompense, the abbot and convent are to provide him with an annual pension and a corrody for the term of his life. Recites the grant of a pension and corrody, made by Robert de Durham, canon and proctor of Coverham, and letters from the abbot and convent of Coverham appointing Robert as their proctor; with notarial subscription by Nicholas de Whiteby [Whitby], clerk of York diocese, notary public (witnesses named).
