Summary: Certification by Ralph [Shrewsbury], bishop of Bath and Wells, following a commission from the archbishop dated at Bishopthorpe on 24 November 1331 (recited), that he has investigated the proposed exchange of benefices between Ralph de Brantyngham [Brantingham], rector of Hinton St George (Henton Sancti Georgii), and Rayner de Cotum [Cottam], rector of Hotham (Hothum), has accepted their resignations, and has instituted Brantyngham to the church of Hotham, patron: John, son of Peter de Hothom [Hotham].
