A disagreement has arisen about this between certain aldermen and the commons. Response that the bill was read in the great council in the White Chamber near the Painted Chamber at Westminster, and the article was clarified, stating that all aldermen shall be removed each year, on the feast of St Gregory, and different aldermen elected.
