| Summary: | Writ of certiorari ordering the Treasurer and Chamberlains to search for all process regarding a suit held before Brabazon between the king and Caetani concerning the treasurership of York Minster, and return it into Chancery. Attached is a copy of a pleading in King's Bench from Trinity term 1307, whereby the king sued Caetani, that he should allow the king to present a suitable person to the office of Treasurer, which is vacant and in the king's gift on account of the archbishopric of York being vacant and in the king's hands. Caetani did not come, pledges amerced. Archbishop ordered to admit at the king's presentation, notwithstanding Caetani's complaint. |
