Summary: Order to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to deliver to Archbishop Melton possession of two dies to mint coins in York, taking the necessary oaths, as on 28 July 1300 it was shown to Edward I that Archbishop Corbridge ought to have possession of such dies, as his predecessors had previously. Witnessed by the earl of Cornwall, keeper of the realm.

Summary: Order to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to deliver to Archbishop Melton two dies to mint coins, according to the king's previous order, notwithstanding their certificate. The king understood from process before Vallibus and his fellow justices in eyre in the reign of Edward I that Archbishop Greenfield and his predecessors were accustomed to have two such dies, and ordered the treasurer and barons to inspect the record and deliver the dies to Archbishop Melton, but the treasurer and barons noted that in 29 Edward I [1300-1301], when the dies were last delivered [to Archbishop Corbridge], the king had an exchange in York, and since the king now has no exchange there, they suspended their delivery awaiting clarification. The king believes that the archbishop ought to have the dies as his predecessors had them.

Entry Type: Request for restoration of chattels
Summary: Request that restoration be made to Lascy of his lands and goods, taken into the king's hands after he was indicted before the king's justices in York for breaking the chests of Godfrey de Gryngeley at Aughton and taking £40 in coin. He had been transferred to ecclesiastical custody, and has since purged himself of the crime according to church custom.

The fact that this entry was registered in the section for the archdeaconry of York would suggest that Aughton is the hamlet of that name in Aston parish in the West Riding, rather than the parish in the East Riding. Summary: Writ summoning into Chancery the record, process and judgment in a case tried before Nuttele and his fellow justices into £766 13s 4d allegedly dug up within St Mary's Abbey, York, and taken away. This money, in silver coin from time beyond memory, is claimed for the Crown as treasure. Nuttele, Peter de Richmond and William de Nessefeld were appointed to enquire, and claimed that Master Adam de Ebor, John de Huthwayt, parson of Danby, and Master William de Langton entered a room in the abbey, dug up the treasure and took it away. Huthwayt was charged and found guilty regarding £300 of this and imprisoned, and the others acquitted. Attached are 20 documents relating to the trial, comprising a transcript of the various parts of the trial, other writs, jury panels and precepts to the sheriff.
