| Summary: | John Maundour complains that although he was appointed archdeacon of Durham by Bishop Hatfield, the king, on false information, gave that office to Cardinal di Prata after the death of Bishop Hatfield. The court of York restored him, but the cardinal's supporters have secured commissions to Lord Neville to collect the fruits for the cardinal, without any process against Maundour in the courts. He asks that the commissions be revoked, and that he be reinstated as archdeacon. |
