Summary:	Notification of the new constitutions brought forth by Archbishop Thoresby in the provincial council to restrain and correct the excesses and abuses of his subjects, with mandate to publicise, hold annual inquisitions and punish those not observing them: (1) no markets to be held in sacred spaces on Sundays or feast-days, and no wrestling, archery or other games; (2) no games to take place on the eve of or at the funerals of the deceased; (3) mothers and nurses are not to place newborn babies in beds where they might suffocate, but in secure resting places; (4) permission of the unimpeded access to and carriage of tithable goods by churchmen; (5) that goods should not be gifted (alienated) between living individuals whereby creditors are defrauded and wives and children deprived of their portions; (6) that priests and clerks behave so as to give an example to the rest of society, in terms of deportment and dress (details given)
