| Summary: | Request that the sheriff of Yorkshire be ordered to restore the lands and goods of Asshebury, which had been taken into the king's hands after Asshebury was indicted before the king's justices for the death Geoffrey de Henneknoll in Scabba Wood in Cadeby on 14 August 1334, and for burgling the house of John Campion at Hickleton on 19 March 1331, stealing 100s. He had been transferred to the archbishop's custody, and has since purged himself before the archbishop in York Minster, according to church custom. |
