| Summary: | Order to Ros to direct Starre, his constable, to keep Fletcher safe until she satisfied the church or the king orders her release. At the request of Melton, the king ordered the sheriff of Yorkshire to arrest Fletcher, an obdurate excommunicate, and the sheriff responded that Fletcher was taken at Whorlton by Overton, his minister. Several malefactors then came to kill Overton and release Fletcher, and thus they took refuge at Helmsley, where Fletcher remains in the custody of Starre, the constable. |
