Summary: Archbishop Corbridge complains that although he and his predecessors have long held the manor of Cawood, David de Cawood brought two writs of novel disseisin before the justices of the Bench at York against him for portions of the wood and moor there. Judgment was given in his favour, but Cawood has now brought a writ to summon the judgment before Brabazon, and in the meantime the escheator has seized the land.

Summary: Certification [probably by the escheator, Richard de Havering] of this reasons for taking a third part of the wood and moor of Cawood into the king's hand. It had been claimed that the land was held in grand sergeanty by Cawode from the king, and that Archbishop Romeyn and his successors had appropriated it in mortmain without licence. Endorsement that the king and council agreed that the archbishop should have seisin of the land, and should do what ought to be done for the right of the king.

Summary: Commission of oyer and terminer to Bereford, Mallore and Hingham, on complaint by Hamelton, dean of York, who held the custody of the lands and marriage of Thomas, son of Richard le Chaumberleyne, by demise of Furnivall, of whom Richard held by knight service, that the heir has refused the marriage and Furnivall, ejected Hambleton from his custody and carried off his goods at Bishopthorpe and Rolleston.
