Summary: Order to the sheriff of Yorkshire to supersede the king's earlier order to raise the county posse. The king had ordered the sheriff to remove all lay force holding the church of Leake, but the sheriff returned that armed men of Northumberland, Cumberland, Westmorland and Scotland held the church, preventing the sheriff from doing so, so the king ordered him to raise the posse and remove them. However, he now understands that armed groups were assembled by the archbishop and Louis, bishop of Durham, on account of disputes between them, and the king has therefore summoned them before him or the council at Northampton on 7 December next to receive his decision.
