| Summary: | Archbishop Neville notes that since the statutes of Queen's Hall, Oxford state that the current archbishop of York ought to confirm the provost of the college, depose him if needed, and determine all disputes within the college which cannot be dealt with internally, he sent his commissaries to end long-running disputes. They removed the provost and several scholars, and a new provost was chosen and confirmed, but several of the deposed scholars are harassing the new provost in various courts, and have stolen the common seal and muniments of the college. Although the archbishop has sued before the chancellor, this has been delayed, and he asks that lords be assigned in the present parliament. Response listing the people assigned to deal with this, namely the bishops of St David's (the chancellor) and Carlisle, Knyvet, Carreu, Barnet and Skirlawe. |
