Summary: Agreement between Robert de Bolton of Easthorpe (Yaresthorp) and his wife Hawise, since Hawise no longer dares to remain in her husband's household on account of his excessive cruelty, and has asked the archbishop to assign her a suitable portion of their joint goods for her food and clothing. Following mediation through their friends, it was agreed in the archbishop's main chamber at Cawood that Hawise would live separately from her husband for the next three years, and that Robert would pay her 12 marks per year (payment details and conditions given). Witnessed by Master John de Waltham, officer [of the court of York], John de Irford, archbishop's chancellor, and Nicholas de Burton, registrar.

Summary: Memorandum of the appearance before Master John de Thoresby, doctor of laws, archbishop's chancellor; Master John de Waltham, official of the court of York; and Robert de Hakthorp [Hackthorpe], archbishop's registrar and many others (not named), of William, prior of Warter (Wartre), sequestrator of the prebend and fruits of the prebend of Skelton in the church of Howden, and Raymond Pelegrini [Pellegrini], proctor of John de Provano, who finally recovered the prebend through three definitive sentences in the Roman Curia against Master Alexander Neville, to receive the fruits, rents and profits of the prebend from the time when the sequestrator was placed in it by papal authority; the prior exhibited a full and accurate account of receipts by him for the four years during which the prebend was under sequestration, with 80 marks remaining in the hands of the prior to be paid to the proctor on 26 July at York.
