| Summary: | Confirmation of an indenture of the prior and convent of Shelford, witnessed by Loudham and others at Shelford on 14 May 1350, acknowledging that they should pay £6 13s 4d each year to the dean and chapter of Lincoln for the sustenance of a chaplain to celebrate for the soul of Edenestowe, in return for a subsidy from Edenestowe's executors, binding themselves, their church, goods and especially the churches of Rauceby and Dorrington in Lincoln diocese, a moiety of Gedling church and the church of Burton Joyce in York diocese, and the manor of Saxondale. Every subsequent prior shall swear on the gospels to observe this. |
