| Summary: | Grant to the abbot and convent of Meaux of the right to nominate clergy to the churches of Keyingham and Easington, in accordance with a grant made by Edward I [details given]. Edward I had granted them land in Skipsea, with the advowsons of Skipsea, Easington and Keyingham, and they have now petitioned that although Edward I and previous lords of Skipsea had had the right to nominate clerks to the abbot of Aumale for presentation, a right that ought now pass to Meaux, they have been prevented, even though they granted Hull and Myton to the king in exchange for the advowsons. |
