Return, dated 1 April 1373 at Southwell, notes that on 6 October 1317, Edward II granted the prebend to Woodhouse, replacing Melton when he became archbishop of York, the church being in royal hands during the archiepiscopal vacancy. Also, Ulsby, prebendary of one prebend of Norwell, was appointed by the pope to the prebend of Norwell Palishall after Woodhouse's death, and admitted by the chapter in 1346. |
