Summary: The dean and chapter of York request clarification of their charters, as the king's ministers wrongfully enter their lands to make distraint. They also request confirmation as to where pleas involving them, the canons and their men may be held, as the city bailiffs interpret their charter to refer only to their villeins and not their other tenants. They request confirmation of Henry III's charter granting them and the archbishop the right to have a coroner in the city of York, and that none of their men or tenants be dealt with before the seneschal, marshal or clerk of the market unless their own bailiff has failed to do right. They also request licence for a pillory and tumbrel within York, to punish their tenants who breach the assizes of bread and ale.

Summary: Licence for Bedwyn, to whom the king has already granted licence to enclose 40 acres of waste in his manor of Alne and Tollerton, within the king's forest of Galtres, in places called 'Foxholme', 'Fulwyth', 'Mikelbusk' and 'Tollertonmore', following an inquisition ad quod damnum before the earl of Angus, keeper of the forest, and to grant that land to Alexander de Bergh for an annual rent, that he may also grant Bergh common of pasture in the forest in all places where the free tenants of the manor have that right.

Summary: Archbishop Melton, the abbot and convent of Fountains, their tenants and the community of Wharfedale request remedy concerning their lands in Wharfedale, next to the free chase of Knaresborough. King John once drew the lands into the forest, but then disafforested them by charter, yet the foresters still make charges upon them as if their lands were still in the forest. Response that they should show the charter in Chancery, and the officers of Knaresborough should then cease their exactions.

Summary: Archbishop Melton, the abbot and convent of Fountains, their tenants, and all the community of Wharfedale whose lands border the chase of Knaresborough complain that although their lands, which were brought within the forest by John de Segrave, were then removed, and they have a charter for this, the foresters of Knaresborough are nevertheless inflicting various charges upon them, as if their lands were within the forest and honour of Knaresborough. They request remedy. Response that they are to show their charter in Chancery, and the Keeper or Steward of Knaresborough is to be ordered to cease these exactions and do nothing contrary to the charter.
