Summary: Lausellis shows that Jargeit, the queen's former receiver, acquired the church of Longnewton on Bishop Bek's collation, and held it until the time of Bishop Beaumont, when he was forced to leave it because he held another benefice. The pope then gave that benefice to Lausellis, who held it until Marmion, the bishop's clerk, obtained a presentation from the king, claiming the church was vacant during the vacancy after the death of Bishop Kellaw, and brought a quare impedit against Beaumont, who did not defend it because Marmyon was his treasurer and presentee. Marmyon has brought a prohibition to prevent Lausellis suing against him, so Lausellis asks that he might defend himself regardless.
