Summary: Aymery complains that although, after the death of Archbishop Newark, the king gave him the vacant prebend in Beverley which once belonged to Ferrere, and he presented the king's letters on 15 August 1299, the canons, wishing to keep the fruits for that August, delayed the transfer until after the feast of St Luke [18 October]. The king has twice ordered them to give these fruits to him, and although the canons replied in a letter, a transcript of which is attached, they did nothing. Aymery has been to the court of Rome and elsewhere on the king's business, and unable to pursue this, so he now requests that the canons be summoned to explain their actions, or that another remedy be provided.

Summary: Bush complains that Caetani, his predecessor, refused to contribute to the clerical tenth imposed by the pope, for which the prebend and sacristry are still charged, but has refused to come into court and has begun to remove his goods from the realm. He requests that since Caetani still has sufficient goods in England, that they be detained until he answers the demand. Response that the archbishop of York is to be ordered to sequester Caetani's goods to the value of £18 3s. 4d., the value of the sums concerned, and to certify the chancellor.

Note: Date unclear, but Bush and Caetani disputed these offices between 1300 and 1304, with Bush then holding the prebend until 1311 and the sacristry far longer. Summary: Order to Threekingham and Byron, keepers of the archbishopric of York, now vacant, to retain enough grain from the goods of Archbishop Corbridge, currently in their keeping, sufficient for sowing and the sustenance of the beasts, and release the rest to the archbishop's executors. When Archbishop Corbridge refused the king's presentation of Bussh to the chapel or sacristry of St Mary and the Holy Angels, York, and the prebend of Stillington (Styvelyngton), his temporalities were seized into the king's hands, and remained seized until the archbishop's death, but his executors have now requested livery of his goods.
