Entry Type: Petition
Summary: Bishop Airmyn of Norwich requests satisfaction of £500 due to him. Newport and Brown unjustly seized into the king's hands various manors which he held by lease from the prior and convent of Durham, and took issues worth £500. Although they were restored to the bishop, and the issues were to be returned to him, the £500 has not been paid from the Wardrobe or Treasury. Responses that the keepers are to pay or assign anything remaining to the bishop or his attorney, anything levied in the time of the king's father should be restored if the king wishes, and anything paid into the Wardrobe or Treasury should be allowed in wardships, marriages or other things, or paid by assignment.
